Rapper Lil Wayne has made a move that makes us think he’s moved on from Cash Money records to sign with Jay Z’s Rocafella records.
This is coming after a long running battle between him and Cash Money records founder Bryan “Baby” Williams, aka Birdman.
While performing “I’m me”, a song off his 2008 Carter III album at a recent show in Los Angeles, Lil Wayne replaced lyrics off the song I’m a mother**king Cash Money millionaire,” with, “I’m a mother**king Roc-A-Fella millionaire fueling speculations that the dreaded New Orleans rapper has pitched tent with Jay Z following irreconcilable differences with Bird-man.
Earlier in January 2015, Lil Wayne filed a $51m lawsuit against Cash money records claiming breach of contract and delayed release of his Carter V album. Wayne also wants to move his biggest artistes Nicki Minaj and Drake from Cash Money records, a label he co-owns with Bird man.
Following Weezy’s latest outburst
Miami based producer and long time Lil Wayne associate Eric Diep has said Lil Wayne actually means he’s finally leaving Cash Money records for real.
Do you think Rocafella will make a good home for Weezy?
